Location Information
The Penthouse sits in an elevated position, accessed by three flights of stairs, a five-minute walk from the harbour. From here you can access the seasonal ferries including trips across to Torquay and the ‘Round Robin’ tour across the bay. Also, the Quay provides excellent fresh fish for home cooking or meals out at the acclaimed Rockfish restaurant.
As the parking space is built into the cliffside it only accommodates a small car. An example of this is the Peugeot 206. If you plan to bring a larger car there is the Oxen Cove long-stay for which an eight-day permit is offered that grants access to a large number of Council car parks. Please note that this is not included with your booking.
A short walk takes you to the main Brixham bus stop that can take you to destinations in Torbay and beyond. Along the harbour you can head to the breakwater and its half-mile walk to the lighthouse, or the nearby shingle beach. The beach has a Blue Flag Award — a global standard that commends cleanliness, safety, and environmental considerations.
